Hints and Tips

You will need a 4mm hook if you are doing a Foundation Treble or a 4.5mm hook if you are doing a normal foundation chain (this is because the chain is always tighter than the first row -  using a bigger hook stops it from curling). If you have never made a Foundation Treble I highly recommend having a go - it avoids that horrid first row of working into the fiddly chain - here is my *** YouTube Tutorial *** to show you how...

Try to keep a rough stitch count for every week, ensuring that you have the indicated amount of stitches where marked. It doesn't matter if you have to miss/add a stitch at the end as long as you have the right amount of sets where indicated (eg on row 2 you should have 109 trebles and on row 8 you should have 53 sets of 3trs). We all miss or gain the odd stitch without realising so don't pull out rows and rows; just ensure you end up with the right amount of groups where indicated.

The 2 -row 'weather front' will be worked every week. It consists of 1 row of trebles and 1 row of front post trebles. These should always be worked on the same sides each week so that the 'raised' front post trebles are on the right side of the blanket.

You do NOT have to change colour when I do - you might prefer to do a whole week in 1 colour if that's how the sky looked that week. You might decide to refer to the sky every evening in which case you might have pinks and purples...or you might do a general summary of each week. The choice is yours.

*The Ch3 at the beginning of the row counts as the first Treble.*

INSTRUCTIONS ROWS 1-7
