2) slst across in to the 3ch-sp, ch3, 2tr,2ch 3tr in same place (corner made) , * 1tr in 2nd of next 3 trs, miss next tr, (3tr2ch3tr)  in next ch sp, repeat from * to end, slsttj.

3) slst along the next 2 sts and into the corner space, *ch6, miss next 3 trs, 1 dbtr in next tr, ch6, slst into next 2-ch corner sp, rep from * 3 times, slsttj .

4) Ch2, 5 htr in next 6-ch sp, *2htr 2ch 2htr in next dbtr (corner made), 5 htr in each of the next 2
6-ch-sps, rep from * 3 times ending with 4htr in last 6-ch-sp. Slsttj to top of ch2.

2) sl stitch in to the next ch-sp, ch3,

1 tr1ch in same place, 2tr 1 ch in every ch-sp around , slsttj (12 groups of 2 tr 1ch)

12 groups of 2tr1ch

3) slst in to the next ch-sp, ch3, 2tr 1 ch in same place, 3tr1ch in every ch-sp around ( 12 groups of 3 tr 1ch)

12 groups of 3tr 1ch

 4) ch3, in next ch-sp do *(3dbtr2ch3dbtr) ,then  3tr in each of the next 2 ch-spcs, rep from *twice more then 3dbtr2ch3dbtr in next corner, 3 trs in next ch-sp, 2 trs in last ch-sp and slsttj to top of 1st ch3.

5) slst in to the 1st dbtr, ch2,

1 htr in each of next 2 sts, * 2 htr 2ch 2htr in the corner space, 1 htr in each of next 3 dbtrs,

1 dbtr in 2nd tr of row 3 below (spike stitch),

6) Use a marker to keep track of the beginning, ch2, *miss 1st st, 1dc in next st, ch1, rep from * all the way around doing 2dc1ch2dc in each corner, slsttj

7) ch2, *  1dc in next ch-sp, 1 ch, rep from * all the way around doing 1dc 2ch1dc in the corners. slsttj

SMALL POPCORN SQUARE (MAKE 2) 

Ch4

Slip stitch to join into a ring

1) Ch1, 8dc in ring, slsttj

2) Begin Popcorn:  Ch3, 4 tr in same place,

Remove hook from loop and replace into the top of the ch3 then back in loop of last treble made

YO pull through = 1 begin popcorn made

Chain 3

* Make 1 5tr popcorn in next stitch (do 5 trebles, remove hook, replace in top of 1st tr, then through top of last treble, yo pull through) ch3

Remove hook, put hook back in 1st treble then back through last treble

YO pull through, 1 popcorn made

2 popcorns made

Repeat from * to end completing 8 popcorn petals

3) Slip stitch into the next 3-ch space

Begin popcorn (see above), ch3,

1 popcorn in same space, ch3

*1 popcorn, ch3, 1 popcorn, ch3 in next ch-sp . Rep from * all the way around , slsttj (16 popcorn petals worked)

4)  Slip stitch into the next ch-3 sp

Ch3, 2 tr in same space,

*3 tr in each of the next 2 ch-sps

3 dbtr 2ch 3dbtr in next ch-sp (=corner)

3 tr in each of the next 3 ch-sps,

Rep from * 3 times to the end , slsttj in top of 1st tr

5)  (Ch4, miss 3 sts, 1dc in  next st ) 3 times,

*2htr 1ch 2htr in corner space, (ch4, miss 3 sts, 1 dc in next st) 4 times, rep from * all the way round, slsttj

6) Slip stitch in to the next ch-sp, ch2 (=1 htr), 1 htr in same place,

1 htr in next dc

Now do 2htr in every ch-sp, 1 htr in every dc and (2htr2ch2htr) in every corner space all around
