91) Ch2, work 1 htr in every stitch across

If you are now on the RIGHT side of your work (check out the lemons!), then go to Row 93.

92) Repeat Row 91. 

93) WORKED ON THE RIGHT SIDE

Ch3, 1 tr in each of the next 4 sts, *ch10, slip st in top of the last tr worked, 1 tr in each of the next 5 sts, repeat from * to end.

94) DO NOT CHANGE COLOUR

Ch1, work 1 dc in same place, now work 1 dc in every tr along, skipping  the chain loops but making sure that they are sitting on the other (RIGHT) side by doing the dc in front of it. See photo. 

95) Change colour and repeat row 93

96) Repeat row 94

97) Repeat row 93

98) Repeat row 94

99) Ch3, work 1 tr in every stitch across catching the loop 

100) Now we will be catching up the ch-10 loops. You will need to pull up the loops and thread them through each other on the right side to have the top braid ready to catch. See the finished photo for how they should look. 

So ch2 and work a htr in every st along, working the htrs in the 2 trs above the loop to catch up the ch-10 loop. You start the first htr and put your hook through the loop then finish the htr, then repeat for the next htr so that the loop is fixed with both. 

YO in to stitch

Hook into the loop

pull up a loop so 3 loops on hook

Yo pull through all 3 loops. Repeat with next htr

Continue to work htrs along catching up the ch-10 loops with 2 htrs each time. Keep checking that the braids are lying flat and correct on the other side.

These words seem to ring very true with the situation that is faced by most people in the world right now.  By helping those around us, supporting those who help us and by doing our bit, however small, we can make a difference. 

WAVE STITCH

The important thing when doing this section is to always make sure that the correct stitches line up with each other on every row. So, the double trebles will always be made on top of  the dcs on the row below, the trebles will always be made on top of  the trebles on the row below and the dcs will always be made on top of the double trebles. Refer to the chart to check the position too but it doesn't matter which stitches you end the row on as long as you start the next row with the correct stitch above it!

83) Ch1, 1 dc in same place, work 1 dc in every stitch along.

84) Ch3, 1 tr in the next st, *1 dtr in each of the next 2 sts, 1 tr in each of the next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sts, 1 tr in each of the next 2 sts, repeat from  * to end staying in this pattern. 

My row ended with only 1 Dbtr

Now follow the pattern according to where you have ended...so as I ended on a Dbtr now chained 1 and did a dc in the same stitch, then worked a tr into each of the next 2 trs, then worked a dbtr into each of the next 2 dcs and so on. See photo below. 

Carry on in this way until you have completed row 89.

90) Ch2, now work a htr into every stitch along.

I have to admit that my blanket is looking decidedly wobbly at the edges...I have counted the stitches and have the right amount but the LINEN stitch has really played havoc with the edges! I know that the border will cure this though as well as a bit of stretching any tight sections,  so if yours is wobbly too then don't be too worried as long as you have the right amount of stitches!

This blanket makes me smile so much. It was designed and made by the wonderful Lucy of Attic 24 and it was the first blanket I ever made.  I gifted it to a good friend but still absolutely love it so thought it might make us feel cosy and content so I have chosen re-create a little part of it here...

Choose your own colours or use her blanket for inspiration. I have altered the pattern and done 1 row of each colour instead of 2 to fit this design but it is basically the same.

76) Ch3, 1 tr in the same place, *miss 2 sts, 3 trs in next st, rep from * to end finishing with 2 trs in the last st.

77)  Ch3, * miss 2 trs, work 3 trs in next gap before the first group of 3 trs, now work 3trs in every gap between the groups of 3 trs to the end, working 1 tr into the top of the ch3 at start of row 76.

THIS IS A GOOD TIME TO HAVE A STITCH-COUNT AND ADJUST ACCORDINGLY ON THE FOLLOWING ROW....... make life easier for yourself by counting up the groups of 3 and multiplying that by 3 plus any extras on the end. I will have 216 which I am happy with .

70) Ch3, 1 tr in each of the next 2 trs, *ch1, miss 1 tr in each of the next 3 trs, repeat from * to end

71) Ch6 ( =1 tr + 3 chains), miss the 1st 2 trs, *1 tr in next ch-sp, ch3, miss next 3 trs, rep from * to end doing the last tr in the top of the ch3 at start of row 70.

72) Ch3, 2 tr in next ch-3-sp, * ch1, 3 trs in next ch3-sp, rep from * to end

73) Repeat row 71

75) Ch3, 1 tr in every tr and 1 tr in every ch-sp.

 
                       

DAY 11 CORONAVIRUS CAL

This section will be your box of chocolates....close your eyes, dip into your bag of yarn and pull out a different colour for each row....

It is done with the LINEN/MOSS stitch which is notoriously tight so I recommend you switch to a hook 0.5mm -1mm bigger than the one you  been using or make a conscious effort to do it a bit looser! * edit...I changed up from a 4mm to 4.5mm but wish I'd gone up to a 5mm as it's still quite a bit tighter than the rest...*

58) Ch1, 1 dc in same place, *ch1, miss 1 st, 1 dc in next st, repeat from * to end finishing with a dc in the last st.

59) Ch1, 1dc in  same place. *Work a dc into every ch-1 sp, ch1, miss the next dc and repeat from * to the end.

                                                 

                                            

60 -  68   Repeat this for every row making sure that you always work the dc in the next ch-1 sp and thatr you finsish with a dc in the top of the ch-1 at the beginning. You might need to work the odd 2dc at the start or end of the row instead of chains but just try not to add sts.

My 15 year old daughter has declared this section as her favourite one yet...and it was the one I was most doubtful of....those unpredictable chocolates again!
